Hope Starts Here: A Compassion Experience

Get ready to embark on a journey as you travel across dusty roads and through real communities to the heart of Uganda. The Hope Starts Here event is a free-to-attend Compassion Experience inviting you to witness the realities of life for children living in poverty and how hope can come through Jesus and the local church. Be taken on a journey through a series of interactive experiences and celebrate Jesus’s hope in even the most difficult circumstances. In over 2,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space, visitors will virtually enter the story of a Compassion child — without getting on a plane.

You will hear each child’s story through their own words; you will stand and walk through spaces as your experience the child’s daily life of poverty. But the journey doesn’t end there. In less than 20 minutes, the child’s story changes from hardship to hope and from hope to a life transformed … because someone cared enough to step up and “change the story” for that child!

Hope Starts Here is an interactive experience designed for families with kids five years and older, but younger children can attend based on the parent’s discretion.
