Parent Dedication
Thursday, January 30th @ 6pm & Sunday Morning, February 2nd
We are so glad that you are interested in participating with us in Parent Dedication Celebration. You have been entrusted with the precious gift of new life, and we look forward to partnering with you as you embark on this parenting journey. We hope the Parent Dedication Celebration will be a memorable occasion for you and your family. Parent Dedication is a time set aside where parents make a commitment to intentionally parent their child with an end in mind. It’s a time for your family & friends to come alongside you & commit to helping you achieve your end goal for your child. Lastly, it’s a time for the church to say, we’ll partner with you to help your child develop into a growing follower of Jesus. Before the big event, we invite you to complete the following steps to prepare for Parent Dedication Celebration:

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect from the Parent Dedication Class on Thursday night?
This is a very relaxed class and one that you will hopefully enjoy! The class part of our Parent Dedication begins at 6:00pm and last until 7:30pm. Parents will sit together at tables where they can get to know other new parents or parents of young children. The class will consist of teaching and small group discussions to better equip you to become the parent God has designed you to be for your child. We will provide dinner and childcare.
What can I expect from the Parent Dedication Celebration on Sunday?
During service we will invite all of the Parent Dedication families to stand. The church will then pray over the group. There will also be a place to take photos and celebrate with your family and friends.
Is this infant baptism?
No. Our church believes that baptism is an outward sign of an inward decision to follow Jesus. We believe baptism is a decision that is made by the individual and not by the parents. However, Parent Dedication is a decision made by the parents. It’s when parents make a commitment to grow in their relationship with Jesus and commit to intentionally parent their child to do the same.
I can’t attend the Parent Dedication Class. Can I still attend the Parent Dedication Celebration?
The Parent Dedication Class is an integral part of equipping you and partnering with you to help your child develop into a growing follower of Jesus. If you can’t attend the Parent Dedication Class, we would encourage you to attend another Parent Dedication Class before you attend the Parent Dedication Celebration. We offer Parent Dedication several times a year in an effort to provide you an option that work bests with your schedule.
Do both parents need to attend the Parent Dedication Class?
We encourage both parents to attend the class since both parent will participate in raising the child. If a spouse is unable to attend, please let us know so we can provide guidance on how your spouse can participate in the dedication experience with you.
Can a single parent participate in Parent Dedication?
Absolutely! It’s our desire to do all we can to equip and support you in your commitment to raise your child in a Christ-centered home. We encourage you to discuss Parent Dedication with your ex-spouse. We realize this isn’t always possible, but ideally both parents would still commit to raise their child to be a follower of Jesus. Please bring a relative or close friend to attend the class with you.
